Wellness Online Training is developed by Karin Davidson, a long-time trainer and alternative/complementary healthcare professional. During her years teaching, Karin would receive requests from all over the world for distance learning opportunities.

Dr. Patricia Carrington, one of our training mentors, holds her Award for Innovation in the field of Energy Psychology
She has gathered input from professionals in education, experienced certified trainers, online training experts, courses/studies/workshops in how learning occurs, experts in their field, and over 45 years of her own experience.
Karin knows that the best training is interactive. (It started early – her mother was a ballet teacher and had 5-year-old Karin walk through her children’s classes helping.) She tutored students in her teens. For years, as a television producer, she trained staff. She was also hired by corporations to create training curriculum through the use of video, interactive CDs, testing, role play, supervised practice breakouts, team work, live training, and with the advent of the internet, webinars. The most effective training is a combination of methods. How do we do this all over the internet?
People learn differently. Some just want the info, some need to talk about it, some need to experience it, some need time to process, some want to watch an expert, some want it small chunks, some want it all right now and, of course, various combinations of methods. How do we do this over the internet with so many different needs?
With wellness training, you are working with emotions. In her experience, Karin saw there were many trainers that didn’t take enough time to set the boundaries of what to work on in the trainings and when trying the method on your own. This resulted in 2 very big problems at the opposite ends of the spectrum. 1 – Students would lose emotional control, stop the method, and not know how to regain control. 2 – Students would try it and due to lack of experience, the method did not seem to work. Setting clear rules for working on your own and for practice sessions is paramount. How to ensure this over the internet?

Live interaction is extremely important. Usually there is one trainer with possibly a few assistants. These leaders answer questions, help guide practice breakouts, and ensure that all students are progressing. How do this over the internet?
With today’s technology getting easier, faster, and better, most of these obstacles are addressed. Wellness Online Training adds additional training features in the courses which solve the others.
- Videos are a combination of actual workshops and information added as needed
- A trainer is available for any questions
- Trainers are carefully chosen who are experienced professionals, certified in their modality, and are engaging teachers
- Clear instructions are given as to what kind of issues to work with
- Ethics and safety is clearly defined and repeated often
- Levels of quizzes are required to progress to the next lesson to insure comprehension
- Assistance is provided locating practice partners
- Combinations of teaching methods are utilized
- Practices are recorded and viewed by a qualified trainer with responsive guidance
- Group interaction through Facebook private group, group mentoring, and swap partners
- Learning and utilizing technology is inherent in these online courses. This result is that the student ALSO learns and becomes comfortable with the technology which enhances their ability to be successful in their business.
Karin’s Note:
Some of the wonderful elements this online training are the ability to work at your own pace, without travel expenses, ensure excellent trainers, include more demonstrations and take more time to teach the concepts then is normally possible in live workshops. But the best part of this is that, for certification, a qualified trainer WATCHES EVERY PRACTICE SUBMISSION and gives feedback over the internet. As a trainer, my wellness certification classes are about 12 students to every trainer. I walk around breakouts and answer questions but I can’t watch every student do the entire breakout session. NOW I CAN. I can clearly see when a concept has been missed or misunderstood, I can mitigate incorrect behaviors in sessions before they become a problem, I can praise excellent understanding even when the student may not have realized they did something terrific, I can guide gently AS the student is learning rather than “testing” them, I can see if and where we need to enhance or change the training more quickly, I can see the subtleties of how someone works with others from start to finish, I can make suggestions specific to each and every particular student, I can find the questions that the student needs answers to that they wouldn’t even know to ask, and more. This will create more qualified, more experienced, better trained graduates. I’m excited!”
